Fullday Tangkoko Nature Reserve Tour  

After breakfast at your hotel transfer to Tangkoko Nature Reserve. Two hours driving to the Nature Reserve makes it quite scenic as you pass picturesque small villages enroute. Upon arrival, you will then be guided by local forest rangers in search of the Black Crested Macaque (Black Monkey indigenous to North Sulawesi), hornbills, and couscous as well as other fauna specific to the reserve. Simple lunch would be served at small restaurant in a homestay before returning back to your hotel in Manado. Sport Shoes/hiking boots, long pants and mosquito repellent would be needed for mosquito or insect protection.

 

 

   Tangkoko Nature Reserve Tour (Overnight)  

 

DAY 01:  Start at 1200 from your hotel to drive to Tangkoko Nature Reserve. The drive takes 2 hours through small picturesque villages which is scenic and fancy. When you arrive at the 9000-hectare Forest Park, immediately check in to a homestay then guided by local forest rangers in search of the Black Crested Macaque (Black Monkey indigenous to North Sulawesi), hornbills, and couscous as well as other fauna specific to the reserve. At around 5pm you will proceed to a big tree where the home of Tarsier Spectrum (the world's smallest primate). Afterwards return to the homestay for dinner(food is basic) and overnight.

DAY 02:  You should get up early and at 0500am start hiking into the forest with local rangers where you will have the best opportunity to view more animal such as birds, Black Crested Macaque or cuscus if you missed them the day before. This trip takes 3 hours then proceed back to your homestay for having breakfast, be prepared for checking out and driving back to Manado or airport.
